These are some of the tools of the trade that I use nearly every day; you can click on the graphics to go to their sites to learn more.

FreeMind is a free mind-mapping software written in Java. It has a lot of uses, can manage multiple projects, and you can insert hyperlinks & images into it as well - love it!
Audacity® is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. I use it to edit podcasts and music; you can hear a sample at JulieFalatico.com - I edited a selection of her songs into a little sampler there.
Record-Anything is a recorder software for MS Windows. It is probably one of the easiest programs to use and I've been happy with the results. It's only $25, and you can test drive it here.
You're probably wondering what an Aerogarden is doing here... hey - winters are long in Utica! Grow something! It makes you feel more connected to nature if you're allergic to cold like I am! And KG Garden Supply has all the seed pods I need to get me through!
huey corrects the color on your monitor so photos and designs print more accurately - VERY important in my line of work!
Easy–to–use right out of the box, huey adapts your monitor for changing room lighting and applies your personal preferences for viewing accurate color all of the time.
Paper - paper is important! I go to my local xpedx - Chris is the master of paper! Hammermill Color Copy or Color Copy Cover stock is what I use for most of my print projects.
